Dear Friends, Thanks for stopping by my corner of
cyber space. This is my page to say what I want, and I
what I really want to say is THANK YOU to all of you who
bought my book! An especially big thank you goes out to
those who ordered it before it was even printed.
What are you up to now?
People often ask me that. Well... I'm
starting work on some school counseling materials, and
going back to school. I'll still be doing
some freelance magazine writing, and finding places to
sell the cookbook. I have a
few other projects in the pipelines, and I'll keep you
posted when I have more details.
What state are you going to this year?
This is another frequently asked question. My
husband, Tim, had a great idea that has been so much fun
for us. We got married on Memorial Day weekend in '96,
so every Memorial Day weekend, we go to a different
state to renew our wedding vows. Awwww! I am such a sap,
but I loved his idea. We've been to Missouri, Nebraska,
Mississippi, Washington, Texas, Illinois, Kansas, Alabama, Kentucky
and Hawaii -- that's right, ten years, plus we were
originally married in Tennessee.
We alternate years to plan, and '07 is my year. In
'06 we said aloha to Hawaii. We
enjoyed the vacation with Tim's sister and her husband.
It was wonderful.

Thanks for asking! I'll need help getting the book in
bookstores around the country -- especially outside the
state of Tennessee. You can help by requesting your
library to purchase it. The book is now on Ingram's Database and
online at Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and others.
In the meantime, word of mouth is the best thing.
Show and tell your friends, family, neighbors and
coworkers about Newly Wed and Newly Cooking.
Christmas, weddings, anniversaries and housewarmings are
all great times to give it as a gift.
